State Police reports: Man jailed for stalking and phone charges; several accidents and a gun complaint

State Police reports from Canisteo, Bath and Wayland stations

Troopers charged Steven M. Sherry, 26, of Bath with felony criminal contempt (phone), fourth-degree stalking and second-degree criminal contempt on Thursday at 10:38 p.m. At the time of the arrest, Sherry was being held at the Steuben County Jail.

Troopers said a 21-year-old Suffern woman crashed on 390 in Avoca on Sunday. No injuries were reported.


Troopers said a 26-year-old Wayland woman was injured after an accident on State Highway 415 (Jacobs Ladder Road in Avoca on Tuesday at 5:39 p.m. No other information was available.


Troopers are investigating a call for a dun or weapon charge in Hornellsville on Jan. 23 at 10:18 a.m. They said it is a pending investigation.

Troopers said a Hornell man, 25, was injured after a one vehicle accident on Interstate 86 at the off-ramp of Exit 34 in Hornellsville on Jan. 23 at 4:10 p.m.
