Big News: The former “Country Kitchen” to become new Mexican restaurant

The Hornell institution, last operated as “T & J’s Country Kitchen,” on Seneca Road in Hornell closed in 2019 after decades as a local dining institution. The building has been unoccupied since, but a sign put up today indicates that the iconic building has new culinary future.

On the old billboard sign out in front of the location was this sign:

The Hornell Sun is looking into the identity of the new owners. “La Cabana” is a popular name for Mexican restaurants all over the world, roughly translating into ” the cabin.”
