ARKPORT — After a successful Mudville Tournament and time off from spring break, the Avoca-Prattsburgh softball team picked back up on the winning ways Wednesday in Arkport.

Senior Anabella Putnam struck out 15 and gave up a lone run in the seventh as A-P downed Arkport-Canaseraga, 5-1.

At the plate for A-P, junior Sydney Stratton went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk. Malloey Patoine had two hits while Emma Carlton was 4-for-4 with two doubles.

Also for A-P, Putnam had two hits, Jordan Swift singled and scored and Kendra Pinckney had three hits and scored.

For Arkport-Canaseraga, Alyssa and Patience Greunke each had hits.
