State Police reports and arrests from the Southern Tier this week

Amity-based State Police

Troopers charged Tony J. Beckhorn, 23, of Friendship with third-degree rape of a victim less than 17, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child on Friday after an investigation into an alleged incident from earlier in the year. Beckhorn was arraigned and released with appearance tickets.

Troopers charged Chad Patrick, 45, of Andover with criminal obstruction of breathing by applying pressure after an alleged incident on Friday in Alfred.

Troopers charged Christopher S. Waters, 48, of Whitesville with felony second-degree assault causing injury to a victim 65 or older and criminal obstruction of breathing/applying pressure on Saturday for an alleged incident on Friday in Independence. Waters was issued appearance tickets.

Three people were injured after a two-car accident on County Road 15 in Allen on April 17 around 12:37 p.m. Troopers said vehicles driving by an Olean female, 25, and a Rochester man, 26, collided on Botsford Hollow Road. No other information was available.

A Hornell man, 28, was injured after a one-vehicle accident on State Route 19 in Belfast on Saturday at 6:42 a.m. No other information was available.

Troopers are investigating a fraud case in Caneadea that was reported on Wednesday.

Bath-based State Police

Troopers charged Terry L. Campbell, 65, of Bath with fourth-degree felony grand larceny for allegedly taking property valued at more than $1,000 after an incident in Bath earlier this month.

Troopers charged James C. Millard, 21, of Waverly with fifth-degree conspiracy and felony third-degree grand larceny earlier this week as the result of a complaint from September of 2021.

Troopers charged an Addison man, 66, with misdemeanor second-degree criminal contempt.

Troopers charged a Canisteo man, 48, with second-degree misdemeanor criminal contempt.

Troopers charged Joshua S. Fisher, 25, of Selinsgrove, Pa., with felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, ammo clip and felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, loaded firearm, after an alleged incident on Monday in Steuben County.

Troopers charged a teenager under the age of 16 from Bath with first-degree rape in an alleged forcible situation.

Troopers charged William L. Crane, 59, of Savona on Thursday for third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle in Bath.

Troopers charged Brice A. Lower, 35, of Elmira with fourth-degree stalking/illegal communication and third-degree felony criminal possession of a weapon/assault rifle after an alleged incident in Corning on Thursday around noon.

One person was injured with an Andover man, 57, was in a one-vehicle incident on State Route 21 in Hornellsville. The man was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, for the incident at 4:04 p.m. in Freemont.

Troopers charged Kimberly S. Jeffells, 44, of Bath with felony second-degree burglary/dwelling and Eric J. Lent, 36, of Painted Post, with felony second-degree burglary/dwelling and second-degree criminal contempt for an alleged incident in Bath earlier this month. The arrests took pace on Saturday.

Olean-based State Police

Olean-based State Police said a Belfast man, 32, allegedly stole $123.25 worth of merchandise on Friday after a complaint by Walmart. The man was issued an appearance ticket for misdemeanor petit larceny.

Troopers charged Jacinda K. Preston, 56, of Wellsville with second-degree menacing with a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use on Wednesday. She was arraigned, issued appearance tickets and released.

Olean-based State Police charged a Hinsdale man, 33, and Hinsdale woman, 24, with petit larceny for allegedly stealing $10 worth of items from Crosby’s in Hinsdale on Friday. They were issued appearance tickets.
