State Police in Steuben County arrest a Bath resident for Criminal Possession

Meth and fentanyl seized after warrant executed

The New York State Police Troop E Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) conducted a narcotic investigation in Steuben County on Monday, August 22, 2022.  At approximately 5:30 a.m., a search warrant was executed at 7114 State Route 415 Apartment 103 in the town of Bath.  During a search of the residence investigators seized US currency, approximately 7.5 ounces of methamphetamine and approximately 15 grams of fentanyl. 

Resident, Gerald L. Barclay, age 24, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.  Barclay was remanded to the Steuben County Jail awaiting arraignment.

The New York State Police utilized its Special Operations Response Team (SORT), a NYSP K9 Unit, and were assisted by the Elmira Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU).
