Animal lovers all over the Alfred area spent Thursday worrying about a stunning Irish Wolfhound who had gone missing. Many searched and checked in with the Knoph family in hopes that such a large dog would be found. Sadly the search ended last night with this news from the family:

“We found him tonight (9/1) and realized he wasn’t lost or roaming, but had passed away. I won’t go into details, but wanted to let you all know it was instant and with no pain. He never felt alone, hurt, or scared.

Thank you for all the support, prayers, and searching. The amount of help and love from all of you in the community was overwhelming. Give your loved ones with 2 and 4 legs an extra hug tonight.”

Condolences to the Knoph family and RIP Barnabas
