Donahue graduated from the police academy this week

Mayor Buckley and Chief Murray congratulate Donahue

The Hornell Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Nathan Donahue is graduating from the police academy this week. Officer Donahue has excelled throughout his time in the academy, finishing in the top of his class.

“Nate did very well at the academy and we’re really proud of him. He’s a great addition to the Hornell Police Department and I look forward to him getting out there in the community and hitting the streets,” stated Chief Ted Murray.

Officer Donahue reflected on his time in the academy and his continued goal to serve the community he grew up in, “I learned a lot and I look forward to meeting the community. It’s always been an aspiration of mine to be a police officer for the City of Hornell.”

Mayor John Buckley was on hand to congratulate the officer on his successful completion of the academy, “I am proud of Officer Donahue’s accomplishments at the academy. I know he will continue to do great things for this community.”

Officer Donahue will continue with field training with officers from the Hornell Police Department.
