Shawn Rose did the damage in the first half and Wyatt Evingham was the finisher as the Hornell soccer team advanced to the Section V finals with a 5-1 win over Greece Olympia.

No1 Hornell (15-1) will face No. 2 Livonia (16-1-1) in the finals on Saturday in Class B1. Greece, the No. 4 seed, ends the season at 11-7.

Livonia beat No. 3 Attica/Alexander (17-1) by a 2-0 score as Luke Fasso and Connor Feeham scored.

In the Hornell game, school record holder Jack Emo also scored for Hornell.

On his two goals, Rose was assisted by Jacob Ponticello and Davin Oyer while Evingham’s two goals came from assists from Liam Khork.

It was a physical win for Hornell, and next up is Livonia, the only team to beat Hornell in the regular season.
