GREENWOOD — The first eight minutes of play from the Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats were put into maximum overdrive, using a scoreless first quarter run against visiting Hinsdale to the fullest of advantages straight out of the gate, establishing a lead that they would never look back on to start their season off with a 73-13 win in Greenwood, Monday night.
The Wildcats held Hinsdale (0-1) to just three shots from the field, the majority of which coming inside the 11-point second quarter the Bobcats produced to close out the first half.
Leading the hosts in white and black was Cash Bouton, who tallied a game-high 20 points. Jared Ainsworth added in 15 points of his own, while Sawyer Troxel sank two of the team’s three treys from downtown, en route to 10 points.
Henry Schwartz recorded seven team-high points to pace the Bobcats offense. Cody Barton would contribute the last six points to round off the scoring.
Hinsdale is back in action Friday night at Cuba-Rushford in a 7:30 p.m. contest.
