Hornell and Dansville area to get freezing rain and sleet today, snow and sleet this afternoon

The National Weather Service has a set up at the Dansville Municipal Airport and has sent out this weather forecast and advisory for Hornell and Dansville:

Today Freezing rain and sleet before 1pm, then snow and sleet between 1 pm and 3 pm, then snow after 3pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 35. Southeast wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of around 3 inches.

Tonight Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 31. Southeast wind 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

Friday Snow before 11am, then rain and snow. High near 36. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday Night A chance of snow showers, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Saturday A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. West wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 32. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
