Hornell Track and Field team dominate at Rochester Winter Track meet

Seniors Brennan DeLany and Elaina Flaitz once again led the way for the Red Raider Track and Field team. Both out jumped the field in a Rochester Winter Track meet at the Kerr-Pegula Athletic Field House on the Houghton University campus.

Brennan won the Pole Vault (11-09) placing him in 4th overall in Section V, and took the Long Jump (20–01.25).

Elaina took first in the High Jump (5-01). Flaitz’s jump moves her into a tie for 4th place in Section V.

On the track, Brennan raced to the top of the Section V Leaderboard winning the 55 meter High Hurdles in a blistering time of 8.06.

And Elaina anchored the girls’ 4x200m Relay (2:00.1)advancing the team of Claire Rose, Riley Harwood, and Marianne Colson from third to first in the final lap of the race. 

Other top ten finishes for the Lady Raiders included:

Senior, Delaney Meehan – 4th in the Shot Put  ( 25-04).

Freshman, Claire Rose – 10th in the 55m Dash (8.34).

The girls 4x400m Relay team of Silvia Carretto, Elisa Bodin, Harwood, and Colson) -4th (5:03.38).

For the boys:

Junior, Jacob Philips -4th in the Triple Jump (36-01.5).

Senior, Ramsey Dean-Prince -5th in the Pole Vault (8-06).

And the boys’ 4x400m Relay team of Phillips, Dean-Prince, Ayden Travis, and Ashton Hooker -3rd (to 4:05.4).
