Drunk driver crashes into Wayland home, Troopers ask for help identifying man

State Police in Wayland arrest a motorist for DWI after crashing into a residence

On February 12, 2023, troopers in Wayland responded to a one vehicle traffic accident into a house on State Route 21 in the town of Cohocton.  Troopers identified the operator and subsequently arrested Willis D. Laplant, age 41 of Atlanta, for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, a Class E Felony, and other traffic violations. 

Laplant was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Cohocton Court on March 13, 2023.

The State Police is looking for the public’s assistance with identifying the following individual.

Troopers are asking anyone with information on the identity of the person, pictured below inside the Department of Motor Vehicles in the village of Geneseo on January 10, 2023, to call the State Police at  315-598-2112 or 585-398-4100.
