Jessalyn Corson advances to IHSA Semifinals

Alfred State riders Jessalyn Corson, Mikenna Riethmiller, and Molly Arnold show off their awards from the IHSA Western Regionals.

Alfred State’s Jessalyn Corson (Apalachin, NY) rode her way to the IHSA Semifinals with a strong showing at the Western Regionals held at Alfred University’s Bromeley-Daggett Equestrian Center.

Corson was the Hi-point rider in the beginner horsemanship competition. With her strong showing, she will compete March 18-19 at the University of Findlay (OH) in the semifinals.

Mikenna Riethmiller (North Collins, NY) and Molly Arnold (Dryden, NY) also competed in the event. Riethmiller finished 3rd in open horsemanship and Arnold was 3rd in beginner horsemanship.

The trio of Pioneers led the team to a reserve Hi-point team finish in the region.
