Deputies file charges for rape, strangulation, assault
March 30, 2023 Rape Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on March 29, 2023, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lewis J. Wisor, age 23, of Derby Hill Road, Addison, New York, following an investigation of a reported rape in Troupsburg. It is alleged that Mr. Wisor had sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17. Mr. Wisor was charged with Rape in the Third Degree, a class E Felony. Mr. Wisor was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
March 31, 2023 Assault and Strangulation Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on March 30, 2023, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Caitlin S. Jones, age 34, of Avenue of Oaks, Arkport, New York, following an investigation of a reported assault in the Town of Hornellsville. It is alleged that Ms. Jones choked a person with the intent to cause serious injury to that person. Ms. Jones was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and Strangulation in the Second Degree, both class D Felonies. Ms. Jones was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
