A death at 296 Scott Avenue on August 1 is tied to the trial of Paul Gerace Jr.

By the Sun Investigative Team (SIT)

Ten days ago was a historic day in Wellsville, the FBI appeared in the early morning hours on Scott Avenue and dispersed several “flash grenades.” The federal agents searched the home, took out evidence, and found that nobody was home. Local authorties were not provided much information but it was clear the raid was tied to a death at the home on August 1.

According to a Buffalo News story by Dan Berbock, Crystal Quinn, 37, died in the home raided by FBI agents on August 8. A Facebook page lists Quinn as an exotic dancer living in Buffalo, from Pinnacle North Carolina.

The reporting from the Buffalo News indicates that Quinn was an informant in the federal case against Gerace Jr, the owner of Pharaoh’s Gentlemen’s Club in Cheektowaga. According to her lawyer, she had agreed to testify against Gerace Jr.

The death of Quinn, according to her lawyer has not been explained and the Allegany County Coroner has not released a cause of death to date.

Quinn’s lawyer, Michael L. D’Amico told the Buffalo News, “It’s also very possible that her death had nothing to do with this trial. There are a lot of very dangerous drugs out there, and I’ve had other clients who died from them.”

John Anderson of the Wellsville Sun is quoted in this story, which featured Wellsville Sun photos and videos. Stay tuned tonight for more Wellsville Sun coverage on Channel 2, WGRZ at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
