Hornell GOP Chairman Paul Van Caeseele responds to “unprovoked attack”

Author: Share:

Van Caeseele is the Chairman of the Hornell Republican Party and a Steuben County Legislator,

As I read Mr. Hogan’s response, I first wondered why I was receiving this unprovoked attack by the Steuben County Democrat Chairman when I never made mention of democrats or the democrat party in my article.  Why would I alienate so many of our citizens which are now voting red for the exact things I made mention of. I then inferred he must be inherently assimilating some of the labels I applied in my article to his own party. Make what you will of that. Then I chuckled as I wondered how little respect, he must have for me when he can’t even take the effort to look up the correct spelling of my name.

However, there is a part that honestly confuses me, and which also answers his question about “what perverse principles?”; The part that confuses me is I wonder why he would attack me. Why would he attack me for trying to protect our communities’ little girls from boys exposing themselves in the female locker rooms?  I wonder, why would he want to attack me for trying to protect our kids from authorized childhood sex changes and hormone injections? I wondered why he would want to attack me for trying to stop migrants like the recently caught mass murderer in PA from coming to our town.  I wondered, why would he want to attack me when I am trying to stop our children from reading the similar explicit smut describing same sex intercourse that Senator Kennedy recently made public? (Look it up on YouTube.) We don’t need that in our school libraries.  I never attached any of these movements to the democrat party, only fringe idealists. I guess Mr. Hogan may have taken the liberty to assume or maybe he didn’t realize those were the issues I was addressing.

As his grip on the city is lost, he grasps at straws with outlandish “out of context” claims about January 6th.  An event now being investigated with allegations that it may have been encouraged by deep state democrats.  All the while, he and the party he supports turned a blind eye as cities across the nation burned to the ground costing billions in the name of a progressive movement.

All that being said, I must admit that as a new, visible, politician, I may have not always used the best choice of words.  Mr. Hogan is much more experienced with linguistic execution.

Lord knows I could go on to express some of my disagreements with Mr. Hogan’s past decisions or statements. But what for???

As Hornell continues to increase its Republican base with an average of over 65% of the city voting red at the polls, he should understand that the residents are rejecting the policies he promotes. The city is flourishing under Mayor Buckley.  It runs free from crony corruption and unnecessary nepotism as A+ audits keep the taxpayers’ dollars honest.  I’m proud of the winning team I’m on and what we have accomplished regardless of political affiliation. And I promise you we are only gaining momentum.  We are doing the right and honest things and I’m asking the public, no matter red or blue, to join us!

Regarding Mr. Hogan’s comment about hope and peace. I totally agree. But I also HOPE that PIECE of trash children’s book “All Boys aren’t Blue” Senator Kennedy referred to never reaches my grandchildren’s eyes.

As for the candidate’s qualifications… all in due time.

Respectfully,

Paul Van Caeseele

Hornell Republican Party Chairman
