“I have learned and embraced the importance of ethics in government”

Statement on Positions from Jose Cruzado,

The business of government is of great importance, and those running for office must understand the consequences of weak and absent leadership.   Elected individuals that are not committed to the “higher cause”, that of improving the lives of those whom they represent, do more damage than good, no matter what party they belong to.

With over 30 years’ experience in government, first with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, and then with the NYS Courts, I have learned and embraced the importance of ethics in government.

I am extremely aware of the potential dangers our community faces every day, including, the impact of drug addiction and mental health illness.  That is why public safety and even code enforcement is of significant importance to me.  Also of significant importance is the nurturing of our relationships with businesses in Hornell while assuring that they are paying their fair share.

The elected officials of Hornell must recognize that they are the foundation for trust in government in our community and should act accordingly.  I assure you, that I will bring ethical, transparent, and knowledgeable leadership and always act in the best interest of those that reside in the 4th Ward.
