Quintin Morris Snags the Winning Touchdown

The Good
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs had another stellar game hauling in 10 receptions for 100 yards. This was the fifth game of the season in which Diggs eclipsed the century mark and fourth in a row. The pass rush continues to show up with Leonard Floyd, AJ Epenesa, and Greg Rousseau each recording a sack. Floyd leads the defense with 6.5 sacks on the season.
The Bad
Kicker Tyler Bass missed two 53-yard field goals wide right. The kicks were well within Bass’ range but mark his first misses of the season. The run defense remains porous, surrendering a number of long runs and over 100 yards on the ground. At one point, the Giants called the same counter run play on three consecutive snaps, gashing the defense each time.
The Ugly
Cornerback Kaiir Elam continues to be a liability in coverage against second tier wide receivers. He was schooled repeatedly by Giants’ wideout Darius Slayton. Head coach Sean McDermott made some questionable decisions, including punting from the Giants’ 36-yard line. McDermott has been historically conservative, but punting that deep in the opponents’ territory just to net 20 yards of field position is not a winning mentality.
