Sally Ann (Zimmer) Hooker

Sally Ann (Zimmer) Hooker of 359 Seneca Road, Hornell, peacefully entered into eternal
rest Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She resided in
the Hornell/Arkport area for many years prior to marrying the love of her life, Harry (Junior)
Hooker on May 6, 1975. Sadly, Harry predeceased Sally in 2004.

They spent many wonderful years together traveling in their motorhome and heading south
to Florida for the winter. Sally was an avid seamstress and sewed clothing for herself and her family. She cherished any time spent with her family.

Sally is survived by her son, Douglas Lawrence (Jane Sprague), Arkport, daughter, Cindy
(David) Harrison, Canisteo, stepdaughter, Cyndi (Michael) Stanton, Wellsville, stepson,
Jeffrey Hooker, Belmont, daughter-in-law, Debbie Lawrence, two sisters Ginger Theilen,
Hornell, Billie Stewart, Almond, sister-in-law, Tommy (Dale) Kepner, Wellsville, and brother-
in-law, Robert (Jeanne) Lawrence, Florida, She is also survived by her beloved
grandchildren, Brian (Lauran) Harrison, Brandon (Gabby) Harrison, Charli Stanton, Jorie
Stanton, Jenilyn (Guy) Layfield, Wyatt Stanton, Neil Stanton, David (Renea) Lewis,
Shannon Gilbert, and Tammy (John) Adams. Her great-grandchildren Abigail, Ryleigh, and
Sloane Harrison, Michael and Morgan Gilbert, Sean and Evan Adams, and Avery and
Hailey Adams. Also, our close family friend, Della Warner.

A graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience at the Until The Day Dawn
Cemetary in Angelica, NY.

A celebration of Sally’s life will be held at a later date.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Tender Loving Home Care for the
compassion and care Mom received throughout her illness.


Memorial contributions can be made to the North Hornell Volunteer Fire Department, West
Maplewood Avenue, Hornell, New York 14843.

She loved me best…..
