A statement from NYS Democratic Party Chair Jay Jacobs

Today, on the three-year anniversary of Donald Trump inciting a violent insurrection on the United States Capitol, New York State Democratic Party Chair Jay S. Jacobs released the following statement.

“Three years ago, New Yorkers watched as Donald Trump encouraged a violent mob to storm the United States Capitol and attack law enforcement in an attempt to remain in power. Trump’s continuous assaults on the foundations of our country drove our democracy to the brink of ruin on January 6, 2021, and he’s threatening to throw our nation into chaos once again. New Yorkers value our democracy and freedoms and want them strengthened, not attacked. New York voters know how high the stakes are this November and will stand with President Biden and Vice President Harris as they fight to defend freedom and democracy for all of us.”
