The Wellsville Police Department introduces its newest patrol officers

Ryan Dibble and Lewis Pettit have been on the “beat” since late 2023

  Ryan was born in Wellsville and is a 2008 graduate of the Wellsville High School.  He was a member of the Army National Guard from 2010 – 2016 and has attended Monroe Community College, as well as Alfred State College.  Ryan spent nine years as a patrol officer for the Rochester Police Department before transferring to Wellsville in November 2023.  Ryan currently resides in the Wellsville area with his wife Kelly and their two children.

  Raised in Bolivar, Lewis is a 2017 graduate of the Bolivar-Richburg Central School.  He went on to earn an Associate Degree from Finger Lakes Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Alfred State College.  Lewis was hired as a part-time patrol officer for Wellsville in the summer of 2023.  In December, he was appointed to his full-time appointment. Lewis also works as part-time patrol officer for the Cuba Police Department.
