Last night, April 14th, 2024, a Syracuse Police Officer and an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy were murdered after attempting to arrest a person for an alleged car theft. All law enforcement mourns the loss of these brave public servants. We pray for their families, their communities, and their agencies.
As we saw just a few weeks ago in Chemung County, the life of a police officer and their family can change in an instant. That is the reality for every law enforcement officer, their spouse, children and family, every day.
