The City of Hornell is proud to recognize Larry Pelkey for his outstanding contribution to our community through his generous donations of bicycles. Larry’s efforts have resulted in the donation of over 1,000 bikes! He spends a significant amount of his time and resources repairing donated or discarded bicycles. These are often donated to youth in the City of Hornell, and there’s nothing quite like the smile of a kid with a new bike. We appreciate Larry for all of his work in making that happen!
Mayor John Buckley states, “Larry can be seen at many community-wide functions, always with bicycles to give away to residents. Giving away over 1,000 bikes is phenomenal and greatly beneficial to our community. We appreciate Larry and all that he does to provide bicycles to residents. Thank you, Larry!”
