Wyatt Evingham makes both goals in shutout win in Dansville

The Hornell Red Raiders (3-0-1) shut out the Dansville Mustangs (4-1-0) 2-0 Tuesday night in Dansville, breaking the Mustangs’ 4-game win streak.
The Red Raiders held control for most of the game, hammering 16 shots on goal in the first half, tallying a total of 25 shots for the game.
Hornell got on the board with 23 minutes left in the first half when senior PJ Picco’s corner kick found Wyatt Evingham for a header to the back of the net. Evingham scored both goals for the Red Raiders. His second goal of the night came 13 minutes into the 2nd half off an assist by Marco Picco.
Hornell goalie, Alfie Whiteley, had 2 saves in the shut-out win.
The Red Raider defense held the Mustangs to just 5 shots on goal for the night.
Hornell is back in action next Monday when they travel to Pavilion to take on the 3-1 Pavilion/York. Dansville will host the Haverling Rams Thursday night.
