Celebrating a newly remodeled kitchen that feeds many
From Hornell Partners For Growth,
Hornell, NY – Hornell Senior Center is excited to invite the community to join us for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 3, 2024, at 10:00 am, celebrating the grand reopening of our beautifully remodeled kitchen. This project was made possible through the generous contributions of the Hornell Elks Lodge, North Main Lumber, and individuals like Mike Bush, whose support has provided the Center with stunning new countertops and a modern backsplash.
The Hornell Senior Center is a welcoming space for anyone aged 60 and above, offering a vibrant community where seniors can gather for coffee, games, crafts, guest speakers, bone-building classes, and more. The Center is also the home of the Meals on Wheels program, dedicated to serving our local seniors.
Lunch is served daily from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday, as part of the Senior Nutrition Program. The Office for the Aging contracts with ProAction to provide nutritional services to the residents of our county age 60 and over and their spouses. Services available include a nutritious noon meal at the Hornell Senior Center Senior Dinner Clubs, along with fellowship, social activities, nutrition education and individual nutrition counseling. Reservations must be made two days in advance. Please call 607-868-4893
Grab and go Meals are also available at the Hornell Senior Center. A suggested contribution is $4.00 per meal for those 60+ and $8.75 for all others wishing to attend. Payments can be made with Cash, Check, SNAP, Paypal, Credit, and Debit.
