From Friends of Michaela,
October 24, 2024 – Michaela Rossettie Azemi is proud to receive multiple endorsements from local leaders of both political parties. These endorsements include Former City of Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan, Village of Canisteo Mayor Monica Recktenwald, City of Corning Mayor Bill Boland, and Steuben County Legislators Joe Tobia and Hilda Lando.
“I am truly honored to receive the support of so many local leaders. Their confidence in me strengthens my commitment to serve our community with fairness and dedication in such an important role,” said Rossettie Azemi.
Shawn D. Hogan, Former City of Hornell Mayor stated the powerful impact of “the perspective and view of a woman who understands the pressures of family life and motherhood. What a unique opportunity for Steuben County voters, this is not a republican or democrat position, this is a judgeship to serve the people and all families who may experience the rocky road of life.”
After the flood that devastated many Canisteo residents in August, Rossettie Azemi volunteered alongside Village of Canisteo Mayor Monica Recktenwald to help rebuild the community. “I can attest to her exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to her job after seeing how committed she was in helping our small community clean up and rebuild,” Recktenwald explained in her endorsement.
Bill Boland, City of Corning Mayor, acclaims high praise for Rossettie Azemi. “Without exception her campaign has taken the high road, shunning any opportunity for negativity. This reflects the person she is – fair, measured and positive. She’s as smart as a whip, quick on her feet, both qualities essential in a position so important to so many lives,” said Boland.
Additionally, Steuben County Legislator Joe Tobia spoke not only as a government leader but as Michaela’s former Corning East High Principal. Tobia expressed, “Michaela possesses a unique combination of compassion, integrity, and legal insight that makes her an outstanding candidate for this role. As a mother, she knows too well how to explore collaborative approaches that reflect a commitment to fostering healthier family dynamics.”
Another Steuben County Legislator, Hilda Lando voiced similar admiration. Lando trusts that “Rossettie Azemi will serve with dignity and compassion. When she says family first she means it, it’s not just a slogan.”
These leaders are not only highly qualified to offer their endorsements due to their extensive professional experience, but they also bring a personal perspective, having known Rossettie Azemi for many years. Their longstanding relationships with the candidate give them a unique insight into the integrity, dedication, and commitment she will bring to the role of Steuben County and Family Court Judge.
