The Village of North Hornell Police Department received their new 2024 fully outfitted Ford Explorer marked patrol vehicle to replace their existing school resource officer vehicle that is almost 20 years old.  The funding for this vehicle came from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program in the amount of almost $55,000.00.  Keeping updated with newly acquired equipment in law enforcement is crucial to aid the safety of our students and staff as well as our local community.

The Village of North Hornell and the North Hornell Police Department are thankful for these available grant funds and will continue to search and execute future grant opportunities to assist with community needs along with taxpayer savings.
