The City of Hornell Employee Spotlight proudly shines on Heather Reynolds, our City Planner. Heather has worked for the City of Hornell for twenty five years as the City’s Planner. The past few years have been particularly busy, as Heather spearheaded the competitive package in which the City was awarded the $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) grant from New York State. Heather is also instrumental in applying for and securing funding through various state and federal streams, including recent funding for the projects completed at Union Square Park and Veterans Memorial Park.

Mayor John Buckley emphasized Heather’s hard work, tenacity, and dedication in regards to pursuing grant funding, as well as assisting the projects through to completion. “I deeply appreciate Heather’s hard work in putting together strong applications which have resulted in millions of dollars in grant funds being awarded to the City throughout the years. Heather’s work doesn’t stop with securing the awards as her work continues throughout the duration of the various projects in the form of reporting and progress meetings.”

Mayor Buckley continued, “With a flurry of activity with the DRI award and the projects at Veterans Memorial Park wrapping up, this year has been busier than most for the Planning Office, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight Heather’s efforts and show our appreciation. Thank you, Heather!”
