Vote on new Rescue Pumper set for January 6
From the VILLAGE OF NORTH HORNELL, STEUBEN COUNTY, NEW YORK
TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH HORNELL, Steuben County, New York:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Village of the State of New York that a special election of the qualified voters of the Village of North Hornell (the “Village”) will be held at the North Hornell Village Hall, 4 W. Maplewood Ave., Hornell, New York, on January 6, 2025, between the hours of 12:00 0’clock p.m. and 9:00 0’clock p.m. for the purpose of voting upon the following proposition:
NEW RESCUE PUMPER PROPOSITION
Shall the Resolution entitled:
“NEW RESCUE PUMPER PROPOSITION Shall the bond resolution entitled: “A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH HORNELL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A SPARTAN FC-94 RESCUE PUMPER, HAVING AN ESTIMATED COST OF $683,000.00 TO BE FINANCED BY THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF A SERIAL BOND OR STATUTORY INSTALLMENT BOND IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $648,000.00”, duly adopted by the Board of Trustees of said Village on the twenty-sixth day of November, 2024, pledging the faith and credit of said Village for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds; determining that the period of probable usefulness thereof is twenty (20) years and the maximum maturity of the bonds therefor is fifteen (15) years; delegating the power to authorize and sell bond anticipation notes and to fix the details of and to sell bonds; containing an estoppel clause and providing for the publication of an estoppel notice, be approved?
