“Don’t point your anger at the administration trying to fix a broken system”
An OPINION by Adam Wiech, Scio NY
I would like to address the recent outrage over the Trump administration’s attempt to cut wasteful spending in many flawed government agencies.
As we all know times are tough for all New Yorkers and Americans, inflation is out of control interest rates have climbed and food prices have skyrocketed.
As we know the government, local, state or federal, does not generate income they exist from our tax dollars and I dare to say most tax payers are fed up with the wasteful spending on all levels.
President trump and the newly formed D.o.g.e are taking on the monumental task of figuring out the waste and reforming these agencies for the American taxpayer.
Far to long have we had to struggle going to work everyday to see our tax dollars squandered by politicians .
Now many of these programs are certainly worth while and help many people however many of these are abused by lazy people playing the system and taxpayers are tired of it. We have young people struggling to start a family, elderly pensioners having to make critical decisions on buying food or medications while career social services recipients many of who are capable of working getting free everything on the backs of struggling hard working Americans.
Reform is needed ,time to cut the fat and put many of these people to work who live off of our tax dollars and give the actual needy people the help they need. We need to not incentivize people to remain on welfare by paying them more for having more children they cannot afford to begin with. We’ve all seen the signs and heard help wanted, or I can’t get people to work. The plain fact is many are lazy and take advantage of the system hurting those who truly need it.
So in closing, don’t point your anger at the administration trying to fix a broken system. Point your anger at the people taking advantage of said broken systems and stealing from the taxpayers and the folks who actually need help. We the taxpayers demand change.
