Jordan Henry, Laura Mills, and Ashley Wolfe display their awards from the IHSA Regionals.
A trio of Alfred State Western Equestrian riders, Ashley Wolfe (Painted Post, NY), Jordan Henry (Randolph, NY), and Laura Mills (Greenwood, NY), have advanced to the IHSA Western Semifinals after strong showings at Regionals.
Wolfe finished as the reserve champion in open horsemanship, Henry was the reserve champion in rookie horsemanship, and Mills was the reserve champion in beginner horsemanship.
Alexandra Hurd (Belmont, NY) also competed and narrowly missed moving on to the semifinals. She finished third in both level 2 ranch riding and level 2 horsemanship.
“I am proud of how our riders performed,” commented Head Coach Rose Stayer-Ruffner. “They all have worked very hard to this point, and I am looking forward to what they can accomplish at the semifinals this coming weekend.”
Wolfe, Henry, and Mills will travel to Dream Park Equestrian Center (Gloucester County, NJ) to compete in the IHSA Semifinals.
