Saratoga, N.Y., – Today, House Republican Leadership Chairwoman Elise Stefanik released the following statement following the report of 5 Iranian nationals arrested in Champlain, New York:
“In Congress, I have been sounding the alarm on the Swanton Sector of our Northern Border national security crisis due to Joe Biden and Kathy Hochul’s open border policies. Thankfully, for the past six months, I have worked with President Trump to successfully secure the border. We are especially grateful for the hardworking border and law enforcement officials from Champlain, NY who protected our national security with the arrest of five Iranians and two Uzbeks in Mooers Forks, #NY21. This is yet another reason why the increased number of border officials we delivered in the One Big Beautiful Bill is more important than ever.”
