No changes at City Hall: Mayor Buckley and all incumbent council members re-elected

McKay, Brown, and Valentine hold off Democratic challenges

Mayor John Buckley will begin his third term leading the Maple City after 833 voters made a point to vote in the uncontested election. The Common Council election only had three contests in Ward 3 and Ward 6, and Ward 7.

In Ward 3, Dr. Joseph McKay recieved almost twice the votes of Democratic challenger Diedre Cardamone. Chairman of the Hornell Democratic Committee John Bradley challenged Alderwoman Lita Brown in Ward 6 but was no successful. In Ward 7, incumbent Kevin Valentine won easily over Deomcrat Okeena Gadsden.

The City of Hornell Common Council has one Democrat, John Carbone was not opposed to start his 10th term serving the 10th Ward.
