Trio of Pioneers advance to IHSA Semifinals

Ashley Wolfe, Madelina Casanova, and Hadley Amyot rode to the IHSA Semifinals

From Alfred State College,

  Ashley Wolfe, Madelina Casanova, and Hadley Amyot rode to the IHSA Semifinals with strong performances as the Regional Championships held at Alfred University over the weekend.

Wolfe was the reserve high-point rider for the Region for her combined points in Open Horsemanship and Reining. In Horsemanship she finished as the reserve high-point rider and was third in Reining.

Casanova rode to reserve high-point honors in Rookie horsemanship while Amyot was reserve high-point rider for Beginner.

Keira Sulkey finished third in Level 1 while Alison Wojtkowiak was honorable mention in Rookie.

In team competition, Alfred State was second ahead of West Virginia University (third), Slippery Rock University (fourth), Pennsylvania West University – California campus (fifth), and Bethany College (sixth). 

The Pioneer trio will now shift focus on the IHSA Semifinals which will take place March 21-22 in Findlay, OH.
