Happy Friday from the banks of the Canisteo River

Photojournal by Janie Ferguson,

It is currently 27*, and partly cloudy here at 8:00 am here Cameron Mills, NY this morning. There is an expected high of 46* here today.

I was delighted to see this grand, majestic, immature bald eagle just two day ago, sitting in a tree surrounded by fresh buds, above the Canisteo River. He was looking for his late afternoon meal. I ventured outside with my long lens to see if I could capture pictures of him. I slowly walked closer and closer trying not to scare him away. Out on the porch, then up by the road, and onto the bridge, and then he flew! A couple of people have mentioned that he looked like he had red, white and blue on his wing. Do you see it, too?

Next a foggy evening view along the river.  Then a stunning, male cardinal, and a Canada goose just after he slides down into the river floating along quietly.

I hope you enjoy my view this week through my lens. I love capturing and sharing them with you.

Have a good weekend, Janie
