From the Riding for a Reason LLC team,

On May 24, 2026 we were honored to represent Marine LCPL Zachary D. Smith, in a sxs dice run. We took over 207 SXS, 436 participants, on a 60+ mile backroad tour over 7 hours. Our day started at The Dark Horse Saloon, followed by the Canaseraga Legion, Arkport Legion, Canisteo Legion, Hornell VFW, and ended at the Hornell Legion. Where we had music, vendors, and a basket raffle.

We are beyond proud to announce that all this was accomplished without any incidents!!

We received much praise for all the hard work that was put into this ride to make it happen, town meetings, well put together routes, flawless roads crossings, help of our fire departments, and police escorts. Everything was planned perfectly.

None of this would’ve been possible without the assistance of the Arkport Fire Department, The Canisteo Police Department, The Hornell Police Department, New York State Police, The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, and our absolutely amazing team. We are truly blessed to have the people we do that work tirelessly to make events like these happen.

Congratulations to all the winners of the dice rolls, the 50/50 raffle (Brian who generously donated some back) and The basket raffle winners.

To the general public who were kind to us, when we caused traffic delays, Who came to the basket raffle, or just came to see all the machines. It was truly wonderful to see a community come together for one of our own fallen hero’s.
