Steuben County Sheriff arrest man for Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief, Possession of a Weapon

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on March 4, 2022, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office responded to William Street, Addison, New York in response to a reported domestic disturbance. Deputies subsequently arrested James J. Luce, age 33, of William Street, Addison, New York

It is alleged that Mr. Luce threatened police and a civilian with death, damaged property in excess of $250, possessed a shotgun as a convicted felon and obstructed a governmental function. Mr. Luce was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a class D Felony, Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and Obstruction of Governmental Administration.

Mr. Luce was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
