Dale Scofield held on $50,000 bail
Rape and Unlawful Imprisonment Arrest

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on December 11, 2024, deputies and investigators of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dale L. Scofield, age 47, of State Route 415, Bath, New York, following an investigation of a reported rape in the Town of Bath. It is alleged that Mr. Scofield held another person against their will and forcibly raped them. Mr. Scofield was charged with Rape in the First Degree, a class B Felony and Unlawful Imprisonment in the First Degree, a class E Felony. Mr. Scofield was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
