It’s not the $10 million prize that was won in Wellsville or the $5 million scratch off, but a nice haul was made with a $371, 254 Take 5 New york State Lottery winner in Andover.

The drawing took place Monday, Nov. 10 and the winning ticket was purchased at Steve’s Gas N Grub Hub on 41 S. Main Street in Andover.

The midday drawing for Take 5 on Monday was 19, 24, 26, 28, 29 and the evening drawing for Take 5 was 9, 20, 22, 33, 37. The winner may have been the night winner as payments went out for the middays tickets (one person matched five and won totalled $17,736). Also in that drawing, 83 people watched 4-of-5 numbers and won $320.50.

In the span of two weeks in October of 2012 we had a second place $1 million prize on Powerball and a $1 million scratch off lottery ticket winner. Those were purchased in Wellsville and Scio.

The way the game works is, the customer will choose five numbers from 1 to 39 or use the Quick Pick option for random numbers. The tickets are $1 each.

Can you win more than that? Here is what Samantha Herscher from the New York State Lottery said:

“The Mega Millions jackpot won’t quit. After Friday night’s drawing produced no grand prize winner, the pot has swelled to an estimated $900 million for Tuesday, November 11. That’s $415.3 million if you take the cash option. No ticket matched all six numbers on November 8: white balls 16, 21, 23, 48, and 70, plus gold Mega Ball 5. The jackpot keeps climbing.”
