See which violations could now get your drivers license suspended
From the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office,
On February 16th, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle’s point value assessments will change on many moving violations. These changes were regulatory amendments adopted in November 2024 by the Department of Motor Vehicles and any motorist issued a citation for one of these violations on February 16th or after will be subject to the new point values. An accumulation of 11 or more points in 18 months or less can lead to your driver’s license being suspended.
