GALLERY: Hornell flag football squad heads into Spring Break undefeated!

𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝟑-𝟎 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐃𝐘 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐒! It looked like Hornell might run away with this contest when Hornell’s 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨 ran the first play of the game 65 yards to the house and then took the direct snap in for the extra point. Hornell up early 7-0. Less then 5 minutes later, junior 𝐑𝐚𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐦 threw a TD pass to Selena in the back corner of the end zone. Hornell scored again on the last play of the first half with a 2 yard pass from Raegan to junior 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 and 8th grader 𝐁𝐫𝐲𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧’𝐬 extra point reception to put Hornell up 20 to 7 at the break.
Canisteo-Greenwood came back in the second half, scoring once in the 3rd and once early in the 4th to make the score 20-19 Hornell. Raegan hit Alexis again with a 25 yard pass and she did the rest by avoiding defenders to scamper another 30 yards for the TD. Lexi scored the extra point from a pass from Evingham to seal the victory! Hornell senior 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐦 has a great game on defense with several pass defenses, flag pulls and an interception.
Hornell is on spring break and then returns to action on April 13th home against LeRoy!
