Closure starts May 4th for about five days
From Steuben County,
Bath NY (April 21st 2026) – Steuben County Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose has announced a temporary road closure in the Town of Prattsburgh.
County Route 74 (Prattsburgh Pulteney Road), between Trant Road and County Route 75 (Browns Corners Road), will be closed to all through traffic beginning Monday, May 4th, for approximately five (5) days.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to safely install a 6-inch water line in the area.
A posted detour route will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. Residents and travelers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling near the construction area.
Steuben County appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure improvement is completed.
