In April hundreds of animal rights activists attempted to storm Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin, demanding the release of thousands of beagles being bred for medical testing. Many were arrested and beaten back by police.
The incident got the attention of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and NY-23 Congressman Langworthy. In short order the farm was forced to release the 1500 dogs to animal rescue groups. Read more about that story here.
Langworthy has openly described himself as a dog lover who had a beagle for a family pet as a kid.
After Ridglan’s closure, Western New Yorkers said to the Congressman, ” What about Marshall Farms in Wayne County NY?” The facility is known as a canine medical testing and animal breeding operation, known to sell patented animals to other research facilities.
The Congressman and staffers hopped in the car and drove to North Rose NY and attempted to visit Marshall Farms aka Marshall Bioresources. According to a video that Langworthy took outside the facility, he was not welcomed in for a tour. He posted this today on social media:

“You asked me to look into Marshall Farms in Wayne County, NY so I went there myself. The moment we started recording, security showed up to keep a watchful eye on us. Ridglan Farms was just the beginning. We won’t stop until all dogs and cats are protected from invasive animal testing” Watch his video, link below:
Congressman Langworthy has some good reasons for concern. In 2024, animal rights activist group did an expose on the facility and published some disturbing images. Read that full reporting by Rise for Animals here. Photos by Camp Beagle:

From Rise for Animals: Per March 2024 inspection reports compiled by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Marshall was documented holding 66,421 animals, including:
- 7,280 puppies
- 15,076 adult dogs
- 41,609 ferrets
- 1,886 pigs
- 127 kittens
- 443 adult cats
Langworthy called the facility a “stain on New York” and called for the facility to follow Ridglan Farms fate and be shut down immediately. The Congressman noted that he is in full support of the PAW Act sponsored by NY-24 Congressman Claudia Tenney. and the Protect our Pets Act, both currently being debated in Congress.
