Closure starts July 10th and is expected to reopen in October 2026
From Steuben County,
Steuben County Commissioner of Public Works Eric Rose has announced that the Five Corners Road Bridge in the Town of Jasper will be temporarily closed beginning Friday, July 10 to allow for a scheduled bridge replacement project.
The bridge, located on Five Corners Road between State Route 417 and Snyder Road, is expected to remain closed for approximately 14 weeks while crews complete the replacement.
The existing bridge, identified as BIN 2217290, will be replaced with a new structure featuring concrete abutments and a concrete deck beam, providing a safer and more durable crossing for the traveling public.
There will not be an on-site detour. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time while construction is underway.
“We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we complete this important infrastructure improvement,” said Commissioner Rose. “Replacing aging bridges is essential to maintaining a safe and reliable transportation network throughout Steuben County.”
The Steuben County Department of Public Works thanks residents and motorists for their cooperation during the construction period.
