Canisteo-Greenwood girls’ basketball improves to 13-4 as Mullen drops 30 in win over Arkport-Canaseraga (story, box score, photo gallery)

Four Canisteo-Greenwood players scored in the first quarter and Lillian Mullen took over with 20 in the first half as C-G defeated Arkport-Canaseraga, 57-41 Thursday night.

Arkport-Canaseraga kept the game close, trailing 15-13 after one and cut into the lead in the third quartrer with a 16-10 run, but the lead and foul trouble was too much to close the gap in the fourth.

Mullen finished with 30 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Canisteo-Greenwood is now 13-4 on the season.

Brooke Burd had 13 rebounds, seven points, five steals, three blocks and three assists while Bailey Mullen had seven points and four rebounds and Peyton Peters had nine points, nine rebounds five steals and two assists.

For Arkport-Canaseraga, Chloe Herman scored a team-high 13 points while Caitlyn Gilman had 11 and Grace Carney had seven.
