“Born 11-11-55 Hornell Saint James lived in Hornell 20 years, went to Hampton Va. worked construction there for 13 years there, moved back to Hornell. I Worked in public works till I retired.
Started glasswork in 1991 mostly for birthday gifts. Christmas, weddings etc. Got a pop up tent when I retired. Now I do 6 or 7 shows a year. Art, craft and campground shows mostly.
Looking back, Art class in high school the teacher was a football coach for the Hornell JVs “Doug Printey.” Mr. Printey would give me a football in class and tell me to run with it, I have loved art ever since. My cousin William Castle kind of pushed me deeper into art, but it was my neighbor Gummer who taught me how to do glasswork when I moved back from Va. waiting for winter pass.”
If anyone is interested in my work they can reach me by phone at (720)431-7456, and please come see me and some of my work Friday, November, 18th at 6pm at the Hornell Public Library.
