Parents need a break for date night ? Downtown shopping?

By Andrew Harris

Parents, grandparents, caregivers don’t miss this dreamy opportunity: Four hours of childcare by the professionls at the Hornell YMCA for $10. You can go out to eat, do some shopping at local businesses, or even enjoy an evening home alone while the kids are having a blast.

Hornell Partners for Growth has created an event that should get the attention of any parent, even those outside of the city. As a parent of three kids all sorts of scenarios come to mind:

  • Drop kids off at 4pm, do an hour of shopping and strolling the city, grab dinner at Pizza King, then head home for 2 hours of peace and quiet!!
  • Drop the kids at the Hornell Arts Center after work, head to Hush for a happy hour, grab a few gifts at Erica Leigh Clothing, settle in at Billy Schu’s for a meal, and you may have time to hit the grocery store too!
  • Drop kids off at 4pm, grab subs at Andy’s Sub Shop, go home and enjoy the peace and quiet for hours!!

This kinda of Thursday doesn’t come along very often for parents. To get the $2.50/hour childcare deal just make a purchase at any of the small businesses found on the Hornell Partners site, hornellhpg.visitwidget.com. Keep your receipt and when you pick up the kids, you will get $10 back!

Note: Pre-registration is required, call 607 324 5520 today. Each child requires a $20 cash payment at drop off, but you get half back with a reciept! Read the schedule and activities by age group below:
