Marvin’s walk-off blast lifts Arkport-Canaseraga over Avoca-Prattsburgh in extra innings; J-T, Addison win

Senior Titus Marvin blasted a two-RBI double to left-center to plate two runs in the bottom of the 8th to erase a two-run deficit and beat Avoca-Prattsburgh, 4-3.

Freshman Micah Marvin for the win in relief, throwing six innings.

Arkport-Canaseraga (2-0) left 17 runners on base.

Haden Abbott had a triple and Chris Abbott had two hits for Avoca-Prattsburgh (5-1).

Jasper-Troupsburg 11, Hammondsport 4

Freshman James Ainsworth had a huge day to lead J-T over Hammonsport, 11-4.

Ainsworth had two hits including a double and scored two runs. On the mound, he got the win throwing a five-hitter with four strikouts.

Cash Bouton and Landon Zver went 3-for-4 while Jaren Ainsworth, Cayden Lawson, Nolan Barney and Braylon Lawson (double) all had two hits.

For Hammondsport, Ethen Beers and Ethan Buckley had two hits each.

In other Steuben County games, Addison downed Alfred-Almond 10-3 and Campbell-Savona beat Canisteo-Greenwood 11-1.
