The good people at the Wellsville Development Corporation have an amazing Saturday planned for Main Street Wellsville next weekend. The idea started with the new owners of Giant Food Mart who really want to make the downtown district more vibrant and enjoyable. Because food is what Giant does, and Wellsville is full of great places to eat, an idea made sense: Lets have a food festival on the street !!

When that idea landed on the desk of the Wellsville Development Corporation they jumped at the opportunity to produce the first ever, “Taste of Wellsville.”

Since the genesis, the crew at WDC have been planning out what will be a great late summer Saturday. Event lead, Heather Joyce, explains there will be plenty to eat:

“Local food trucks, Nacho Momma’s “All American” Taqueria and She Brews/Holycakes will be set up. Over a dozen feature vendors from local eateries that will be set up on the street offering Wellsville fare.”

Dozens of other makers, crafters, and artisans will be on display and the YMCA is making this kid friendly as Joyce explains,

“On the lawn of the David A. Howe Library, there will be a Kid Zone that is being sponsored by the Wellsville YMCA with a bounce house and carnival games, as well as live music throughout the day on the Music on the Lawn Stage.”

Alex Cole “Unplugged” is set to perform at 1pm, and The Young Sisters perform at 4pm at the David A. Howe Library.

There will be a tent set up between Community Bank, N.A. and L’Italia to allow people to sit down to eat and get out of the sun for a bit, sponsored by Armstrong.

Everyone is welcome to sign up for the cornhole tournament taking place near Pizza King to compete for free good at Giant Food Mart. Sign up on site next Saturday.

You can play “bingo” with a card from the Taste of Wellsville main table. As you visit the vendors and try the , the featured foods the vendors will stamp your card for a chance to win a Giant Food Mart gift card!

The open container law has been lifted within the festival boundaries making it easy to grab an adult beverage and “graze” between over a dozen food vendors.

These are just some of the great local food being featured at the Taste of Wellsville:

– Giant Food Mart (also our 2023 Event Sponsor!) – Beef Haus – L’Italia – Nacho Momma’s All American Taqueria – Napoli Pizza of Wellsville – Papa Louie’s Concession Stand – ScandinaviRen’s – Texas Hot – The Shop at Main – Wellsville Country Club – Wellsville Creative Arts Center
