Steuben County Sheriff reports Hammondsport, Canisteo arrests

Robbery and Violation of Probation Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard and Village of Hammondsport Police Chief Jason Dininny report that on August 28, 2023, Officers of the Hammondsport Police Department and Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dylan T. Walker, age 25, of Shether Street, Hammondsport, New York, following a report of a robbery at a retail store in the Village of Hammondsport. It is alleged that Mr. Walker forcibly stole money from another and then fled the scene. It is further alleged that Mr. Walker was wanted due to a Violation of Probation Warrant issued by Steuben County Court. Deputies and Bath Village Police Officers located and arrested Mr. Walker at a residence on Wilson Street, Bath, New York. Mr. Walker was charged by the Hammondsport Village Police with Robbery in the Third Degree, a class D Felony. Mr. Walker was also served the Violation of ProbationWarrant by Steuben County Deputies. Mr. Walker was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.

Attempted Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Hindering Prosecution Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 24, 2023, Officers of the Canisteo Police Department and Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua C. Clark, age 36, of SR36, Canisteo, New York, following a report of a wanted person in a residence in Canisteo. It is alleged that Mr. Clark attempted to cause physical injury to another, engaged in reckless conduct which could cause serious injury and rendered criminal aid to a person who has committed a felony, in Canisteo. Mr. Clark was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, Hindering Prosecution in the Third Degree and Attempted Assault in the Third Degree. Mr. Clark was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
